- What is woodgrain aluminium?
- It is aluminium cladding, battens or linings finished with a sublimated timber-look pattern baked into a powder coat. You get the appearance of natural timber on a non-combustible, dimensionally stable metal.
- Does it really look like timber?
- Yes. The grain is heat-transferred into the finish at high resolution, so at normal viewing distances it reads convincingly as natural timber.
- Will the finish peel or chip off?
- The grain is sublimated into the coating rather than painted on top, so it resists peeling and chipping far better than printed or wrapped finishes.
- Is it the same as composite panel?
- No. Our products are solid aluminium with no combustible core, unlike aluminium composite panels that use a bonded core material.
