Charred Timber
Charred Timber is a shou sugi ban inspired look. Inspired by the Japanese shou sugi ban tradition, this charred-black grain gives a striking, textural finish - without burning, sealing or maintaining real timber.
As a Woodonali finish, the Charred Timber grain is sublimated into a baked architectural powder coat on marine-grade aluminium. You get the look of Charred Timber timber with none of the oiling, warping, splitting or rot - a non-combustible, UV-stable surface that just needs an occasional wash.
