A contemporary infill home used near-black battens to add depth to a tight urban courtyard.
The approach
We specified woodgrain aluminium battens in our Wenge finish - very dark brown to near-black. Dramatic dark batten feature walls delivered the warmth of timber while keeping the build low-maintenance and suited to the local climate.
The Wenge look is high-contrast contemporary designs - which made it a natural fit for this modern courtyard home.
The result
A finished project with a genuine timber aesthetic that needs no oiling or repainting.
